Hiking in the Ozarks is one of the most enjoyable activities in the Van Buren area. We have access to multiple Trail Heads of the Ozark Trail as well as Big Springs located in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways National Park. Trail maps can been found by visiting the Ozark Trail website. The two sections accessible from Van Buren are the Current River Section and the Between the Rivers Section. The National Park Service has maps for the trails located within Big Springs, as well as maps of the Current River. Another great resource for exploring the area is the National Geographic map of the Scenic Riverways. It’s available for purchase on Amazon.
